Amari Uganda

Reaches out to the children who have been forgotten by their communities, children who live on the streets and have no one else to turn to.The main objective is to curb down the growing number of children on the streets.

What we do

We offer these children alternatives to street life. Through our programs, we are able to help them discover their purpose and abilities and equip them with skills that will enable them to start up something for sustainability in future.

Welcome to Amari Uganda

More than 15000 children are estimated to be living on the streets of Uganda. More than 10 come to the streets of Kampala every day. The number is immensely alarming and increasing due to various circumstances and reasons such as Poverty, neglect and sexual, death of parents, physical/emotional abuse among others.

They have no little access to good health care, accommodation, education, food. They are abused, abandoned, segregated and socially excluded by the society. As a result, they end up using drugs to help them cope with everyday life.

Amari Uganda is a Christian charitable organization committed to offer these children alternatives to street life through various life skills programs and activities. Read More
